Description |
This is a photograph of the construction of the Metra commuter parking lot at 95th Street and 51st Avenue. Concrete curbing has been installed. This land used to be a small park where the M-5 Stuart Tank War Memorial and Blue Star Memorial Highway plaque were located. The tank was moved to a small pad near the railroad crossing signal on 95th Street and the Blue Star Memorial Highway plaque is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Cook Avenue and 95th Street. Pilgrim Faith United Church of Christ, located at 9411 South 51st Avenue, is seen in the background. The home on the right is the church parsonage. |
