This is a photograph of 95th Street looking westbound from the south side of 95th Street near Tulley Avenue. The building in the left of the photograph is the Brandt building located at 5131 West 95th Street. The building housed Brandt's Tavern, Craig's Barber Shop at 5135 West 95th and Johnny's Pizza at 5137 West 95th Street. Traffic can be seen moving eastbound past the building. Businesses visible on the north side of 95th Street include the Brunn Funeral Home located at 5200 West 95th Street, at the intersection of 52nd Avenue and 95th, Emmett's Beauty Salon at 5168 West 95th Street and the Oak Lawn Currency Exchange at 5166 West 95th Street. The Oak Lawn water tower, which was located behind the village municipal building at 9437 South Cook Avenue, is visible overhead. |
