Description |
This is a photograph of Clarence Watson, the Oak Lawn Safety Director, being cited for 25 years of service to Oak Lawn by the Oak Lawn Youth Commission. The award was presented by Village President Fred M. Dumke during the 2nd Annual meeting of the Cook County Federation of Community Committees held at the Sherman Hotel in conjunction with the Governor's Youth Conference. Watson is credited with securing adult crossing guards for schools, setting up the bicycle safety program and tests, working with patrol boys, and giving safety talks and lectures throughout the Southwest area. |
