Description |
This is a photograph featuring the intersection of Tulley Avenue and 95th Street in 1994. The building in the left of the photograph is the Brandt Building located at 5131 West 95th Street, on the southwest corner of 95th Street and Tulley Avenue. It housed Brandt's Tavern and several other businesses. The building has since been demolished. 95th Street is in the process of being repaved and re-striped. Cones can be seen in the middle of the street as traffic moves westbound. Across 95th Street, located on the northwest corner of 95th Street and Tulley Avenue, is Krauss' Gaslight Lounge at 5130 West 95th Street. This building served as the Oak Lawn Post Office at one time. The houses in the background are in the 9400 block of Tulley Avenue. The building on the right is Fernwood Smith Cleaners, formerly located at 5114 West 95th Street. The building has since been demolished. |
