This color photograph depicts a Disney-inspired mural painted by students of the Oak Lawn Community High School. The 432 square foot mural was a tribute to Walt Disney and was painted by Anna Marie Coveny, an art teacher at Oak Lawn Community High School, and her Art 1 Class. The mural was painted on a wall within the library and it stretched from floor to ceiling. Many well-known Disney characters are depicted throughout the mural. The mural was dedicated on March 2, 1974. |
