Description |
This is a photograph of damages after the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado. The black & white image shows a view across the Dushop property at 5902 W. 95th Street. A debris field can be seen among the trees and a utility pole, snapped off at its base, has been thrown into the trees. A construction crane can be seen in the background. Wilhelmina (Graefen) Dushop lived here in a farmhouse that was destroyed in the storm. The residence was just west of Shoot's Tavern and Fisher's Motel near Austin Avenue and 95th Street. |
