This is a photograph, circa 1950, of the front exterior of Spitzer's Service Station, 5500 W. 95th Street. The building in this photo has two bay doors on the right and a large plate glass window on the left. Gas pumps can be seen in front of the station and vehicles can be seen on the image right. The first building was a cement block structure built in 1916 and owned by Mr. Tesnow. The business was then sold to Mr. Landahl, then to Mr. Lynch. Edward Spitzer purchased the business in 1934. |
