This is a photograph of land located at 9501 South Central Avenue (also known as 5569 West 95th Street). Library staff photographed the property at the request of Landmark, IL, a statewide non-profit dedicated to saving historic places. The organization promotes the preservation, restoration, and adaptive use of buildings and sites. This is a photograph of a Village parking lot to the south of a building housing dental practices located at 5569 West 95th, on the southeast corner of 95th Street and Central Avenue. A private residential home once stood on the lot to the south of the building before it was purchased and razed by the Village to create parking. Other businesses along the south side of 95th Street east of the intersection are partially visible on the alley behind the buildings. They include the red brick Credit Union 1 building located at 5535 West 95th Street and Premier Tax and Accounting, Inc. located at 5565 West 95th Street. Traffic is seen on Central Avenue while the backs of several residential homes are visible behind the brick wall surrounding the parking lot. |
