This is a photograph Oak Lawn businessman Tom Hawkinson (l) shaking hands with O. Paul Roeder, Commander of the Johnson-Phelps VFW Post #5220, after accepting an award. The award was for service to veteran's organizations and was presented during an Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce Membership Meeting held at Annie Tiques, a banquet facility located at 8200 South Cicero Avenue. Only partially visible in the left of the photograph is Tom Moran, Division Chief, Fire Protection Bureau, Oak Lawn Fire Department. Both he and Patrick Kelly, the Fire Department Public Education officer, also received awards during the same ceremony. |
