Description |
This is a photograph of the Oak Lawn Fest Parade in 1983. It features a flatbed trailer from the Ready Paving and Construction Company out of Chicago Ridge carrying a display from the Boy Scouts Timber Trails District as it moves westbound on 95th Street. In this photograph, the flatbed has just passed through the intersection at Cook Avenue. Spectators can be seen lining the north side of 95th Street along the south facade of the Oak Lawn Public Library. Sculptures, created by the artist Abbott Pattison that hang on the south facade of the library, are visible. A blue and white striped tent set up in the Village parking lot east of the library and the traffic signals at 95th Street at Cook Avenue are in the right background of the photograph. |
