This is an election poster from the Fred M. Dumke campaign for State Senator, 8th District. The cardboard sign has a white background with a circular photo of Dumke, framed in red, at the top and the campaign message and election date below that. The printing is done in red and dark blue. Fred Dumke served the village of Oak Lawn for nearly 25 years. He was elected as a village trustee in 1953 and was elected mayor in 1961, a position he held until 1977. Although he lost the 1966 State Senate position, Dumke remained active in politics for many years. |
