This is a VHS tape containing footage from the 1967 Snowstorm and Tornado. Hitting in late January, the snowstorm dumped more than twenty inches of accumulation onto Chicago and nearby suburbs. The tornado struck on April 21st of that year, leaving a trail of devastation across Oak Lawn and surrounding communities. The footage was shot and narrated by Oak Lawn resident Peter Crombie. There is a brief segment at the beginning that shows damage sustained by McCormick Place during a fire. |
