Description This is a photograph of Donald A. (Bud) Koehler, believed to be the tallest man in America in 1952, dressed as an Indian and posing with two unidentified men. Koehler appeared in several Oak Lawn Round Up Day parades during the 1950s. Donald A. Koehler is one of 17 known people in medical history to reach a height of 8 feet or more. He was generally recognized as the tallest living man in the world from at least 1969 until his death in 1981.
